Overview
The Shift Manager at Dunkin’ is responsible for overseeing the operations of a specific shift to ensure smooth and efficient functioning. Responsibilities
Shift Management:
- Oversee daily operations during the assigned shift, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to Dunkin’ standards.
- Coordinate staff schedules, breaks, and assignments to optimize productivity and customer service.
Customer Service:
- Ensure all customers are greeted warmly and served promptly.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Team Supervision:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise team members during the shift.
- Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff to enhance their skills and performance.

Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of all products.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Conduct routine checks to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Cash Handling:
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including opening and closing tills, making bank deposits, and ensuring accurate cash registers.
- Address any discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor sales performance during the shift and assist in implementing strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Provide feedback to team members to help them improve their performance.
Reporting:
- Prepare shift reports, including sales figures, inventory updates, and any incidents or issues encountered during the shift.
- Communicate relevant information to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Requirments
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and customer complaints.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain an organized work environment.
- High level of accuracy in handling cash, monitoring inventory, and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
Educational Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or training in hospitality or retail management is advantageous.
- Food safety certification is preferred but not necessary.
